THE GOLDEN MATCH
After the line up has been submitted, the Team Captain of each team will flip a coin to determine who will get to choose first to eliminate a match as the Golden Match. The last match remaining after 3 matches have been eliminated will be considered the Golden Match and will be worth 2 points to whichever team wins.
For example, Team One wins the coin toss. Team One’s captain predicts that Team Two’s team will win Doubles A, so Team One’s Captain will eliminate that match as the Golden Match. Next, Team Two predicts their team playing Doubles B will most likely lose, so Team Two’s Captain will eliminate Doubles B as the Golden Match. Now it’s down to the two matches left where Team One will decide which match they will want to count as 2 points for whichever team wins.
